The biggest driving distractions are revealed...

We should concentrate at all times when driving to keep ourselves and other drivers safe. There are everyday distractions like running late for work and tiredness but it’s important to remember how our actions can be very dangerous.

According to a survey done by HPI they discovered some very worrying stats.

Millennials are the worst for distractive driving with an alarming 15% of 18-34 year old’s admitting to viewing videos on their phone when they are behind the wheel.  8% of them admitted that they brush their teeth on their daily commute.

Shockingly, with older drivers it was discovered that 25% of 35-44 year old’s admit to eating their breakfast on the way to work.

According to the survey the most dangerous scenes the UK public have witnessed are:-

58% have witnessed drivers drinking a hot drink

48% have witnessed a driver applying make up behind the wheel

40% have witnessed someone checking themselves out in a mirror

38% have witnessed someone eating breakfast such as cereal and toast… Cereal??? Really???

37% have seen drivers brushing or grooming their hair.

We understand life can be busy and we can all be in a rush sometimes but it’s so important to not get distracted or put other drivers at risk when we are behind the wheel…

Stay safe and have your Weetabix…but NOT when your driving.
