Top tips to help you on long road trips...

Snack King

How many times have you jumped in the car and thought ‘I’ll power through’’ only to make pit stops along the way for food? Take snacks - You’ll save valuable time.

Don’t run out of petrol!

Make sure you’re prepared. If you’re travelling through the countryside it might be a while until you see a petrol station and worse yet… no phone signal! The last thing you want is to be stranded in the middle of nowhere with just a sheep for company…
You shouldn’t always carry extra petrol because it’s dangerous but sometimes it is necessary.

The Essentials

Ever needed to change a tyre? Check out some YouTube videos at home and give it a practise. This is such a great skill to have when road tripping, you never know when it’ll come in handy PLUS it’ll save you valuable time and you don’t have to wait for a call out. Be your own hero!

Be prepared

Anything could happen… Be prepared and always try and remain calm in any difficult situation.

Plan ahead

Most of the time we plan ahead. But there are still times when we’re feeling spontaneous and we might just ‘wing it’. If you’re feeling adventurous got for it… But us planners won’t be caught out in a shabby hotel room or worse yet… No hotel room! Plan, plan and plan ahead.

Passing the time

Some journeys can seem like forever therefore finding ways to pass the time is great.
Whether you want to listen to music, listen to an audio book (Don’t forget your charger) or play some old school car games your journey won’t seem too much of a drag if you’re having fun.

Money Money Money

Make sure you keep some extra change in your car in case you come across any cash tolls. You wouldn’t want to be hit with a hefty fine!

Getting there is all part of the adventure. Have fun and enjoy it!
